I grew up in a suburb 20 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania called Gibsonia. Gibsonia is about as suburban as it gets and growing up we mostly "played outside". I'm the youngest of six kids and my oldest sister is ten years older than me. That means, at one point my mother had six kids under the age of ten. It was like the Brady Bunch but without the maid and the groovy attic. O-k, it was completely different.

I have traveled extensively in my life including a stint with the peace corps. I lived in the Kingdom of Tonga in 1996 and 1997 teaching English as a Second Language.  Don’t feel bad if you don’t know where Tonga is, the population is only 100,000.  Come to think of it, the whole country could fit in the Rose Bowl.  Anyway, my peace corps tour was abruptly and shockingly shortened when I was diagnosed with cancer in my kidney.  1997 was a tough year with surgery and chemotherapy, and no, I don’t have any more medical marijuana.  O-k I do.  No I don’t.  Yes I do.  No I…. The bottom line is I was inspired by my second chance, and made my way to Los Angeles.

Over the years, I’ve performed stand-up in every major comedy club in Los Angeles including The Improv, The Comedy Store, The Icehouse, and more Starbucks than I’d like to admit.  I also wrote, produced and acted in my own one-woman show “The Big Picture,” (since I had cancer, I was pretty much required to do a one-woman show.)  I’ve also appeared in over 60 national commercials including AOL, Go Daddy, Angel Soft, KIA, Fannie Mae, Clorox, Outback Steakhouse, Betty Crocker, Energizer, Gladware, Nabisco, and Wickes.

Most recently, I’ve had success in two areas of my career.  I spent two years as the co-host of the USA Network series “Ready For The Weekend Movie,” and on the acting front, I starred in two feature films, “Interviewing Norman” and “The Wedding Video.”  I was fortunate enough to work with some extremely talented people on these projects and I can’t name names, but you know who you are.

I’m really excited about co-producing the award-winning documentary “Off The Rocker.”  We have had great success at 3 film festivals in 2007.   Check out the latest information and film clips from Off The Rocker at filmcz.com

And I’ve completed my tweeny book “Aunt ‘Tine Messed Up, (So You Don’t Have To!)”. The What’s Happening page has fabulous illustrations by Mike Hollingsworth.  Man, that guy its talented.

It’s onward and upward friends, let’s stay in touch.  E-mail me, won’t you?
